Mission Statement
The mission of the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is Reparation.
As Eucharistic women, we work with Christ to bring healing to people's hearts and peace to their relationships with God, with one another, and with creation. We find a mentor in our foundress, St. Raphaela Mary Porras, who answered God's call generously and began our congregation.
In 1877 she described the mission of the Handmaids as "Love of Christ in the Eucharist and the concern of His Heart for the salvation of all."
